The first development on the Eastside site comprises a speculative 55,000 sq ft office development. There are 4 floors for office use with an additional plant room on the roof. A below ground basement has also been constructed for car parking which covers the footprint of the building above.
The basement walls were constructed using a combination of contiguous piles and sheet piling. The super-structure was a steel frame with cell beams supporting the floor. This suited the beam spans whilst giving some future flexibility in terms of services for an unknown end user.
